What is it?

The Biz Thrift Shop is a pop-up marketplace for students to buy and sell lightly used business clothing. Our goal is to sustainably provide affordable clothing to give students the opportunity to look their best in professional development settings. Everything from business casual to formal can be found to suit your needs. Come check it out October 16th-19th on the second floor of the Drake Centre!

How does it work?

At the Biz Thrift Shop, students are both able to sell their old business attire, as well as browse for new items! Until October 12th, students are invited to bring their lightly-worn business clothing to help supply the Biz Thrift Shop

Items will be listed in the shop at the preferred price of the seller, who will receive the full profit if their items are sold. Clothing will be displayed throughout the following week, giving students a chance to browse and add new items to their wardrobe. Unsold items will be available for their original owners to pick up until November 2nd.

What we’re looking for

  • Lightly used business casual, business professional or business formal clothing

  • Tops: blazers, suit jackets, dress shirts, blouses

  • Bottoms: dress pants, slacks, maxi skirts, pencil skirts

  • Business formal dresses 

  • Ties 

Guidelines

  • Please bring in lightly-used items only. The CSA reserves the right to turn down any damaged or un-wearable items as they see fit. 

  • Please wash your items before dropping them off. Don’t worry about packing or creasing clothing, each item will be steamed/ironed before put on display. 

  • Items can be dropped off during CSA office hours until Thursday, October 12th. If you are unable to drop within that time, please contact edi@aspercsa.com to schedule an alternate drop-off time. 

  • Unless otherwise arranged, unsold items must be picked up prior to Thursday, November 2nd, after which they will become property of the Commerce Students’ Association. 

Important dates

  • Thursday October 12th - last day to drop off clothing 

  • October 16th-19th - Biz Thrift Shop pop-up 

  • Thursday November 2nd - last day to pick up unsold clothing
