The Commerce Students’ Association will be hosting a First Year Committee information session 5:30 PM, Tuesday, October 4th, 2016 in 115 Drake. At this meeting, CSA President George Semchuk, HR Manager Bahareh Khosropanah, and outgoing First Year Representatives Andrew Smith, Kira Pearson, and Samantha Nicole Tumlos will talk about how you can get involved with the First Year Committee, and provide information on how to run in the First Year Representative elections.
You will notice very quickly that a recurring message at Asper is that we highly recommend you get involved in different events, opportunities, and student groups within our school. If this is something you can picture yourself doing, the First Year Committee is the perfect place for you to start!
The committee consists of 2 First Year Representatives elected in October by fellow classmates. These 2 students become members of the Commerce Students’ Association General Council and are responsible for selecting and overseeing the committee chair positions (Fundraising, Charity, Social, and Finance) and the general council.
The FYC is an amazing opportunity to get involved during your first year in Asper. We hope that you will join us at this meeting!
